Eichardt’s penthouse is part of Eichardt’s Private Hotel which underwent a $6 million expansion in 2016, which also includes a new 200-seat restaurant.
The Penthouse was designed by award-winning Queenstown architect Michael Wyatt and offers 180 degrees of unobstructed views. Overlooking the shores of Lake Wakatipu and surrounds, The Penthouse is the ultimate in luxury and sophistication. It is the perfect venue for entertaining guests and relaxing surrounded by the amazing views.
Design Windows Central Otago worked closely with the key stakeholders throughout the project to ensure the clients ambitious expectations were met. The Penthouse features spacious living areas with emphasis on thermal comfort, noise minimisation and the magnificent outlook.
Floor to ceiling stacking sliding doors from APL Architectural Series connect the living areas with the large private terrace with outdoor kitchen, spa and fireplace with flush sills for level access throughout. APL Architectural Series was the perfect fit for this project allowing the Penthouse to take in some of the best views in the world through the 3 meter high and 9 meter wide sliders, while still being robust enough to withstand the very high wind zone so close to the lakefront.
