This house is the epitome of style where tradition meets 21st Century. As you meander up the driveway to a flat building platform, overlooking Nelson Bay you are immediately struck by the reserved grandeur and elegance of this modern villa. With a substantial front veranda allowing ample space for outdoor living, this home offers true family values only ever dreamed off in a bygone era but without the worries of ongoing maintenance.
The aluminium windows feature double glazing and colonial bars throughout providing the charm without compromising the stunning Nelsons Bay views. The lead-light feature glass was organised by the home owner and installed into the frames by Design Windows. The challenges continued with twenty aluminium bottom hung sash windows with sash horns and internal and external colonial bars. Complicated and time consuming to make, we were all too aware of the quality required and the result gave a real sense of pride to our fabricators as well as the home owner.
Consistency was maintained with access only via Hinged or French doors, all with flush sills and polished brass hardware. Off white aluminium frames provided softness, the perfect complement to the rustic white timber boards. Flemish obscure glass features in the windows for the wet areas. From brass cylinders to the handmade leadlight glass, there was never any compromise on quality or finishing details which means this home will remain timeless into the next century and beyond.
