Ravensdown

Ravensdown were looking for a low environmental impact, high profile design solution that provided a pleasant and practical working environment for their staff. The building needed to convey high quality materials and detailing, while still reinforcing Ravensdown’s corporate profile as a ‘grass roots’ agricultural business. Creating a modern design & build solution for the Corporate Head office of an iconic New Zealand brand was the responsibility of construction giant Naylor Love.

The 1,700m² single-storey building is highly durable and easily maintained, with a mix of polished concretes, acrylics, natural timber finishes complemented by large walls of aluminium joinery, creating a light filled workplace which is not only eye catching but also reflective of the business. Translucent coloured panels across the face of the windows creates a dramatic effect to the exterior of the building without impacting on the natural light source to the internal work areas.

The building is a beautiful and functional mix of traditional finishes and contemporary detailing and Ravensdown’s environmental goals were achieved with the extensive use of timber in the structure, a low energy LED lighting control system and the use of Low E Max double glazing with Panasap Blue tint glass.
